Aluminium repairs underway, after taking over this project.

Customer brief: all metal, minimal filler if any

The bumper in fill panels were made to fit both the bumper and the bodywork perfectly, by hand.

Prepped, painted and wet flatted, it went back to the customer for final fitting

The gloss black finish accentuated the beautifully under-stated curves in the aluminium body.

This is how it came into us - bit more than "light" restoration needed here...

After a fair amount of welding, the chassis was protected from future issues.

And after a welding marathon of its own, the body finally made it into paint

The partial rebuild was don on-site, with the owner himself getting involved, before it went back to him for final fit and fettle

Another black and shiny 50's car going home

This came into us looking tired and having lived in rural mid Wales, it had every right to do so...

As always, the biggest job was the bulkhead. All rebuilt and sealed up to prevent it from rusting again

The underside of the tub and seat box were both treated with tinted bedliner to protect them whilst keeping them looking pretty.

Rebuild time - always takes so much longer than anticipated, even on something akin to a gian Meccano set.

As it came to us, having been left forlornly rotting in Jersey of all places

Due to the rot, it was stripped and then sent for dipping. When it returned, we knew we had to cut it apart and start again, using the Blackhawk jig to ensure it was aligned to factory specs.

After a massive amount of welding and prep, it finally made it into primer stage

As always, the underside got a tinted bedliner application, just in case it gets abandoned in Jersey again.

After another mammoth build, this left us at this stage for its power plant to be installed.
